The basics of Voice over Internet Protocol and how it works for your business.
VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is a technology that lets you make voice calls over an internet connection instead of a traditional phone line. It converts sound into digital signals and transmits them over the internet, enabling cost-effective and flexible communication.
One of the big advantages of VoIP is flexibility in the endpoint devices you can use:

Pricing is a simple monthly per-user fee that depends on your company's size and requirements, plus any additional features you choose to add. Common add-ons include:

PBX stands for Private Branch Exchange, essentially your own internal phone network. If you have an office with 50 employees, you don't want 50 separate phone lines wired individually. Instead you bring in a few lines, or preferably a SIP trunk, and connect it to your PBX. The PBX then routes calls among all your office phones however you've programmed it.
