What Are the Options When You Call in to the Voicemail Access Extension?

The default voicemail access extension is 899.

The menu options when you call into the voicemail access extension are:

If you have NEW messages

  • 1 – to listen to new messages
  • 3 – to change folders
  • 4 – to change your password
  • 0 – mailbox options
  • * – for help
  • # – to exit

If you have OLD messages

  • 2 – to listen to old messages
  • 3 – to change folders
  • 4 – to change your password
  • 0 – mailbox options
  • * – for help
  • # – to exit

If you have NO messages

  • 3 – to change folders
  • 4 – to change your password
  • 0 – mailbox options
  • * – for help
  • # – to exit

If you press 0 for Mailbox Options

  • 1 – to record your unavailable message
  • 2 – to record your busy message
  • 3 – to record your name
  • * – to return to the main menu
  • # – to exit

After you listen to a message

  • 2 – for advanced options
  • 3 – to change folders
  • 5 – to repeat the current message
  • 6 – to play the next message
  • 7 – to delete the message
  • 8 – to forward the message to another extension (you will then have the option to prepend a custom message before forwarding the voicemail)
  • 9 – to save the message
  • * – for help
  • # – to exit

If you press 2 for Advanced Options

  • 1 – to send a reply
  • 2 – to call the person who sent the message
  • 3 – to hear the message envelope (when the message was received and who it was from)
  • * – to return to the main menu
  • # – to exit
