How to Answer Another Ringing Phone on NEC SV8100

On many occasions, you could be the only person or the last person in the office. What do you do when you hear the customer service phone ringing and you want to answer it without leaving your desk?

With the NEC SV8100 there are two types of remote call pickup.

Direct Call Pickup – Answer a specific ringing extension

1. Pick up the handset or press the Speaker key.
2. Dial **.
3. Dial the number of the extension whose call you want to pick up.
4. The incoming call from that extension is now patched to you.

Group Call Pickup – Answer any ringing phone in your group

1. Pick up the handset or press the Speaker key.
2. Dial *#.
3. The first incoming call from any ringing extension will be patched to you.

Now go and answer all those calls.
